Why Come Here & About Us

RATES NZD $90 / NIGHT - PRIVATE SUITE OF ROOMS INCLUDES DBL BEDROOM

THIS ACCOMMODATION IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR STUDENTS OF AUCKLAND DOG GROOMING TRAINING CENTRE AND IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Our proximity to Auckland City and the Ports of Auckland also makes Greenhithe a prime location. What will you see from your (double room) window? - Trees, garden art and a paddock edged in large willows. Shown below is our garden guest, the Tui who has since started a family who oblige us with their presence especially in the rain.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE our "difference" in terms of pricing (see below), value for money and setting in an idyllic part of Auckland's green belt.

We have 2 outdoor cats and an aging dog to whom we are servants.

The writer, Ann is multi chemically sensitive. Our home and entire garden including that in which I grow organic vegetables is chemical free.
If you have particular interest in Multi Chemical Sensitivity ('MCS') you can read my story on http://www.mcs-global.org/node/713 The story therein contained is gloomy because it is very honest. These days I have a lot to smile about and I have found joy in a new type of life to the one I previously lived. I am a Free-gan, artist, grooming trainer, excellent organic wine maker and wannabe Djembe drummer who is loving the ride.

Location & How We Make it Easy for You to Get Here With or Without Car

Greenhithe is a village situated 20kms approx. from Auckland inner City - 15 minutes from the harbour bridge (outside of rush hour). We are 42 minutes (outside of rush hour) from the domestic and international airports (using the North Western motorway). Please make sure you have a recent map of Auckland to hand as a new motorway extension may not show on your map. The motorway extension gives ease of access to the bridge (southern motorway) and to the motorway required to travel North.

Students please see my Airport bus instructions on Grooming Training website as to how to get to and from Domestic Terminal and my FREE pick up / drop off service relevant to the local bus station.

TESTIMONIALS

We stayed here on the first and last nights of our wedding trip. We enjoyed it tremendously. We liked the house and our room and enjoyed the food but above all we loved Ann and the genuine interest she showed in us. She even gave us henna tattoos before we flew home. Barbara and David Barbara Hart - Apr 15, 2011

I just want to say how much I enjoyed my stay at your lovely place. It was such a peaceful and serene place to come back to ... if back that way again I will most definitely be making a stopover with you and will be highly recommending it to as many people as I can.

I really enjoyed this accommodation and it's hosts. Ann and Craig, the hosts, were very helpful, considerate, and friendly. The room is in a wing of their home and was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom sparkled. Ann's breakfasts were delicious and wholesome. Art in the Trees is located on a quiet, residential street in the peaceful suburb of Greenhithe. The view from my room was filled with flowers and trees. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Guests without a rental car can use nearby public transportation .... The drive to Auckland 's central business district takes 15 to 20 minutes (outside of rush hour).
The price was very reasonable.Daniel G
